Bee Cave runs from new Hill Country builds to ranch-style homes brought up to date, and the bathrooms follow suit. Benches, knee walls, angled ceilings and half-height pony walls are common here, and every one of them defeats an off-the-shelf door.
Our installers arrive with digital measuring tools, premium silicone systems and hardware built for daily use, then size the glass to the opening in front of them. One local job came together as a frameless 90-degree enclosure over a partial pony wall in brushed bronze: geometry first, finish second.
Mineral-heavy water and long, steamy showers
Water here is hard, so unprotected glass collects stubborn spotting. Summer heat plus long showers adds humidity, and a weak seal will invite mildew at the curb and in the corners.
We answer that with tempered glass cut to the opening, upgraded sweeps and seals, and optional protective coatings that resist buildup. A quick rinse and a squeegee after the morning shower keeps mineral haze from ever setting in.
Glass, hardware and seals chosen on purpose
Glass comes in 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch tempered, clear or low-iron for truer tile colour, with privacy patterns available for shared baths. Hinges and clamps come in chrome, brushed nickel, matte black or brass so the enclosure agrees with your fixtures.
Seals are their own decision: magnetic strikes, door sweeps and threshold details all change how a curbless entry handles splash, so we spell those choices out instead of defaulting them.
